Chief of Staff

Jamie Wilson is the Chief of Staff in Montgomery Public Schools in Alabama. She is a passionate leader, dedicated to empowering youth and working to support them to reach their highest potential. She understands the importance of her role as a leader, and is continuously seeking out opportunities that will allow her to have lasting impact within the school district and the greater community.

Prior to becoming the Chief of Staff, Jamie Wilson served as Director of Human Resources in Reynoldsburg City Schools. Before moving to a District Leadership role, Jamie served as a Middle School Principal for seven years and has been an educator for 18 years. She earned her Bachelors of Science in Education with an emphasis in Mathematics from Northern Illinois University. She was a member of the Women’s Basketball Team, earning the Huskie Scholastic Academic and M.A.C Academic Commissioner’s award four years in a row. She also received various athletic awards and was captain of the Women’s team, where she began developing her leadership skills.

Jamie Wilson received her Master’s in Educational Administration from Governors State University in Chicago, Illinois and completed the Superintendent Licensure Program at The Ohio State University. Prior to becoming an administrator, Jamie was a teacher in the Chicago area where she also coached, mentored, and served as the mathematics curriculum leader.

Jamie Wilson has always had a desire to teach and work with youth. She comes from a family of educators and has had the unique opportunity to learn from her mother, a retired principal. She believes in giving back to the community and developing others who wish to educate, inspire and work with youth.
