Alabama Office of Minority Affairs
Director

From Air Force Captain to leading voice in communications and entrepreneurship, Stacia Robinson has been appointed to the Governor’s Cabinet to be the Director of the Alabama Office of Minority Affairs. Currently serving as the Agency Principal of BeneChoice Companies, LLC, a benefits and financial choices company that invests in businesses and organizational development focusing on boosting employee loyalty and retention, the Denver, Colorado native is a dedicated servant of her community.

A proud HBCU alumna of Spelman College, Stacia has a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics before beginning her trailblazing career in the Air Force as a communications-computer officer. Within seven years, she worked her way up the Air Force Standard Systems Center ranks to Captain before trading in her uniform to pursue her passion for marketing as a business owner. In corporate America, Stacia carved a bold path to success. She broke barriers as the first African-American woman elected to the Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and founding chairwoman of the Fortitude Foundation for the Montgomery Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Sorority, Inc.

Stacia is an active member of the Montgomery community, using her talents to invest in and uplift minority businesses and entrepreneurs. She serves as a director on the following boards: Renasant Bank, Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce (Board Chair-Elect), National Federation of Independent Business & Industrial Development Board of The City of Montgomery. Previously, she served her community as president of the Habitat for Humanity Board and Montgomery Rotary Club, Board Chair for the Central Alabama Community Foundation, and Commissioner for the 15th Judicial Court Pre-Trial Diversion Program.

Now, Stacia lends her talents to addressing barriers she has overcome as a Black female entrepreneur. She is a gifted communicator and has received numerous awards and recognitions for her work, including the Leadership Alabama Class 11, where she served as Montgomery Regional Council Co-Chair, Leadership Montgomery Class 14, and the “Distinguished Toastmaster,” one of the highest levels of achievement from Toastmasters International.

Outside of her professional accomplishments, Stacia nurtures her passion for communications and family as a contributing author to the New York Times and Wall Street Journal Bestseller Masters of Networking and the proud wife of native Montgomerian Toy Robinson and their two adult children, Maurice and Jaylin
